Last year Jack Spade teamed up with Barbour and released the Hopper Jacket. We raved about it then, and have been kicking ourselves for not picking on up while they were still available. This year the Hopper is back, and this version might be even harder to resist.
Every year, as soon as Fall gets here, we find ourselves trying to break out our favorite shorts a couple of more times before they get put away for the season. If you’re the same way, or one of those guys who wears shorts all year long temperatures be damned, we have a feeling you’ll love a recent addition to the Castaway lineup. Take a look at their new Mariner Lined Shorts.
Even if you don’t have to suit up often, you should always be ready to go should the need arise. In fact, we’d take that one step farther and say that beyond the basic suits that you probably picked up for your first big job interview, you need to have one or two with a bit more character. For us, the recently released Tonal Glen Plaid suit from Indochino fits that bill perfectly.
This weekend we went full bore into Fall. We’re talking pumpkin patch visit, fresh apple cider, and even a PSL stop (for the Mrs. of course). One thing that became glaringly obvious in our travels is that we need to up our vest game in a serious way. High on the list of possible options is the Hudson Vest from Buffalo Jackson.
It’s no secret that we are big fans of Bull + Moose bowties, and today we’re going to be stocking up on a few that we’ve had our eye on for the last couple of months. See, Bull + Moose is having a heck of a sale that runs through the 10th of the month on all of their cotton, linen, and seersucker ties. Sure, they may not be in season for another six or seven months, but at 50% off this is a deal that is too good to pass up. If you’ve had your eye on a Bull + Moose bow or two, now’s the time to pull the trigger. Use the code ‘halfoff’ to activate the discount.
Over the last couple of years we’ve happily featured a few collaboration pieces that involved Wm. Lamb and Son, but today’s may be our favorite yet. See, the artist from down South teamed up with the boys out West at Chubbies. The result is a couple of pairs of shorts that are definitely unlike any we’ve ever seen.
When it comes to outerwear, we’re of the opinion that you can never have too many options. Lately, we’ve been keen on quilted picks, and there’s a new one from Peter Millar that we are officially in love with. Take a look at their Turin Quilted Coat.
If we had to pick one shirt for the rest of our days, it would be an Oxford Cloth Button Down. No question. The question would be what color. Luckily, we don’t have to answer that one, especially now that our friends at Hugh & Crye have taken the wraps off of their latest OCBD collection. They call it Silo.
Layering season is finally upon us. For days that don’t call for a blazer, or aren’t quite cold enough for a wool sweater, we find ourselves grabbing a quarter zip pullover pretty frequently. This year, the just released Country Club Prep 1/4 Zip Sweater is definitely going to be a frequent wear for us.
We’ll be honest, we’re not too impressed with the Ryder Cup uniforms this year. Sure, there are a few pieces that we like, but overall we think it could have been better. In fact,we’d argue that you could put together a better overall look choosing only from the current Maide Golf collection. Here are our picks.
