Back in November, we kicked off what we think is the coolest contest we’ve had on Bowties & Boatshoes to date, five lucky readers were going to get the chance to design a Hudson Sutler commuter duffel, and one would have theirs put into production.  Well, today’s the today that we finally get to reveal what the five randomly selected finalists came up with.  To say we are impressed would be an understatement, and we will absolutely be purchasing whichever bag is selected as the winner.  Let your voices be heard, and tell us which of these bags you think should become a part of the Hudson Sutler lineup.

Our winning bag will feature the same 18oz. canvas that Hudson Sutler uses for the rest of their collection, and the same nickel hardware and resin zippers that we have all come to love.  There are three ways to cast your vote.  The first is to leave a comment below.  The second is to ‘Like’ your favorite in the album that is set up over on the Hudson Sutler Facebook page.  Finally, you can tweet your vote using the buttons under each description.  We’ll be taking entries until 11:59 PM EST on Sunday, January 13.

1. R. Harvey 1: There’s something to be said about a classic Black and White colorway.  With a 1 inch Black and White gingham lining, this bag will never go out of style.

2. R. Harvey 2:  A bit more bold, this Red bag with Ash Gray handles features a Black, Red, and White gingham lining.  (As a UGA alum, I can’t help but love this design. – RHS)

3. A. Huber: Apparently, the black and white gingham liner is a popular option in the Hudson Sutler design studio.  The outside of this bag is definitely the brightest of the bunch with a Sunshine Yellow and Royal combination.  If you want something that won’t get lost in a crowd, you’ve found your bag.

4. C. McPhail: This design looks a lot like our wardrobe these days.  The Hunter Green and Khaki exterior are complimented quite nicely by a Red, Black, and Khaki plaid interior.

5. P. Whitehouse:  Inspired by Keeneland, the Whitehouse entry into the contest also features a Hunter Green and Khaki exterior combination, but this bag will have a 1/8 inch Navy gingham lining

6. M. Rayburn 1: If you’re pulling for Alabama tonight, this bag is for you.  With a Crimson and Black exterior, and a classic houndstooth interior, this bag will be a hit in Tuscaloosa, and anywhere else the words “Roll Tide” are spoken.

7. M. Rayburn 2: The Kelly Green and White outer of this bag has us counting the days until Spring arrives, and the 1/4 inch Navy gingham liner has us counting the seconds until we can get back out on the water.

Again, we can’t even begin to tell you how impressed we are with these entries, there are some great ideas floating around out there, and we can’t thank our friends over at Hudson Sutler enough for making this happen.
