In a world that is dominated by the digital, we’re making our best effort to work a little bit more analog into our daily lives.  Luckily for us, there are a number of great brands out there that can help facilitate these efforts with ease.  One of which is Field Notes, and their “Kit” is the perfect way for us to make sure we have everything we need to get back to basics.  We originally posted about “The Kit” back in December of 2011, and with the New Year upon us it is time for a re-up.  Not only do we need the new calendar, our other notebooks are just about full as well!  The post below originally ran on December 17, 2011, and this year’s kit remains virtually unchanged.

Lately we have realized just how much time we spend tied to technology.  From laptops to iPads to iPhones, there is never a time that we aren’t connected.  Sure,  it is certainly convenient to always have access to just about everything at our fingertips, but sometimes it is a great change of pace to unplug and get back to basics.  In an effort to do just that, we will soon be placing an order for “The Kit” from Field Notes.

With a classic simplicity that is rarely seen these days, the entire Field Notes line is something that we think every man should have.  Made up of two steno books, two pocket sized notebook three packs (one graph, one mixed), one 18 month calendar, six pens, six #2 pencils, and six “bands of rubber”, “The Kit” will allow you to get a feel for just about every Field Notes offering. Once we get our hands on one we have a feeling each and every piece is going to be put to good use.  If all goes according to plan, “The Kit” is going to be a great way for us to take a step back in time as we quickly approach 2012.
