Yesterday, we talked about retiring our boatshoes for the year.  After months on end of heavy wear it’s always a sad day knowing that it’ll be a few months until we’re able to wear them again.  That being said, there’s something that just feels right about putting on a solid pair of boots this time of year.  If you feel the same way, we think you’ll love the Red Wing 4553 Oil Cloth Boots that are available exclusively at Brooks Brothers.

When brands as iconic as Brooks Brothers and Red Wing come together for a collaboration we can’t help but get excited.  Luckily for us, these boots did not disappoint.  Based on a classic Red Wing 6″ work boot, the 4553 features a “rough and tough” brown leather upper with a tartan printed oil cloth side panel for a look that is decidedly Brooks Brothers.   Rounding out the package you’ll find a white crepe sole, triple stitching, and rawhide laces.  Though they might not be as versatile as our trusty boatshoes, we have a feeling the 4553’s could quickly become our go to pair of boots.
