If you’re a frequent visitor to Bowties & Boatshoes, you know that we are huge fans of Old Try.  You also know that one of our founders, Ben, started a little company called Starboard Clothing not long after we launched the site.  Well, today we’re happy to announce that these two brands have come together to create one great looking bowtie.  Our Bowtie Friday pick this week has been dubbed “Bow Try No. 1,” and it’s available exclusively over at Old Try.

When Old Try and Starboard first got together the mission was quite simple: make an awesome bowtie.  We’d say that mission was accomplished.  Made from a classic navy/white cotton twill ticking, this bow is not only the first to bare the Old Try name, it’s also the first diamond point to leave the Starboard workshop.  2″ at it’s widest, Bow Try No. 1 has a classic appeal that is sure to stand the test of time and we see it becoming a staple in our bowtie rotation for years to come.  Available in extremely limited quantities (only 30 will be hitting the market), Bow Try No. 1 won’t be around for long so, head on over to Old Try ASAP if you want to add this great looking tie to your collection.
