Though the only clocks we will be watching this weekend will be keeping track of basketball games, we thought it was only right to celebrate the beginning of daylight savings time with the review of a timepiece.  As much as we would love to dive into the intricate details of a Panerai or Rolex, we can’t quite justify the cost.  In fact, for the most part, we tend to keep our wristwear pretty low key.  If you are in the same boat, we have a feeling you’ll love the Timex Military Watch for J.Crew ($149).

Made exclusively for J. Crew, this Military Watch draws inspiration from the Timex archives circa the 1940’s.  With a stainless steel case, the watch features a distressed black face, glowing hour and minute hands, and a bright red second hand for just a bit of pop.  Paired with a black nylon strap, the watch is all business right out of the box.  If you want to change it up a bit, you can easily swap out the black band for any 18mm nylon band on the market.  No matter what strap it’s paired with, the Timex Military Watch for J. Crew is a great choice on weekends and weekdays alike.
