No matter how great someone’s products are, if the customer service isn’t there, he have a hard time adding their wares to our wardrobe.  Well, to say the service offered in the Billy Reid stores is top notch would be an absolute understatement.  We’ve been fans of the brand for some time now, but after an experience a couple of weeks ago, we’re 100% sold.  With just a couple of tweets, and an extremely friendly phone call, Sarah down at their store in Florence got herself a couple of customers for life.  Now that warm weather is almost here, we’re going to have to call our new friend sometime soon to see about ordering a couple of Billy Reid’s Pensacola Polos ($88).

Available in nine different colors (Lake Blue is shown), the Pensacola Polo is a perfect example of how a a few small details can set apart one jersey polo from the rest.  The first detail to jump out at us was the twill tape on the placket.  Reminiscent of a rugby shirt, this decidedly casual touch looks right at home on a jersey polo.  If you look closer, you’ll see that instead of your basic buttons, Billy Reid went ahead and used Mother of Pearl.  Among a few other small touches, the shirt also features cotton sheeting along the collar band and under the collar itself.  The Pensacola Polo is the slimmest polo in the Billy Reid lineup, so for a more traditional fit, we’d highly recommend sizing up.  If you happen to visit the Florence store to pick up your Pensacola Polo, tell Sarah we said hello.
