As much as we look forward to breaking out our spring and summer wardrobe, there is a small part of us that hates to put away the heavy sweaters, the corduroys, and our favorite wool pants for the season.  Normally, the regret doesn’t really hit until the first chilly day that we go looking for an old favorite only to realize that it has been boxed.  While summer weight wools and sweaters are easy to find, it tends to be bit harder to work corduroy into your summer rotation.  Luckily, we found the Mackworth Corduroy Shorts ($79) by L.L. Even though the idea of corduroy in the summer might seem a bit foreign to some, trust us, these shorts are definitely a good look.  With a 9 inch inseam that will keep the hem above your knee, the weight of these medium-wale cords shouldn’t be of much concern.  With a straight fit that is a bit trim compared to other shorts on the market, the shorts come in four color options: British Khaki (shown), Dark Navy, Rosewood, and Light Saddle.  For a casual day around down, pair the Mackworth shorts with an untucked madras shirt and you will be all set.
