We’re going to go ahead and say it, Shark Week has been pretty subpar this year. In the past, we couldn’t wait to see what kind of ridiculous shark footage we were going to see night after night, but this year it seems like Discovery thought a good commercial (sorry Snuffy) was all they were going to need for ratings. In our opinion, the best thing to come out of Shark Week this year is a pair of limited edition shorts from our friends at Krass & Co.
Every once in a while, we are lucky enough to get an email or message from a fan of the site introducing us to something that we would have probably never found on our own. That is exactly what happened a couple of months back when we got an email from someone out in Wyoming introducing us to something we had never seen before, glass belt buckles from MADE Jackson Hole. Needless to say, we were intrigued and think you will be too.
On more than one occasion, we’ve given serious thought to weeding out every shirt in our closet that isn’t an OCBD. A true staple piece in any wardrobe, these shirts are the ones we turn to time and time again, and they’ll never be out of style. Recently, we added some new color to our OCBD lineup with a couple of Overdyed Oxford Shirts from Canvas Lands End.
As great as it was to have football to watch last night, we are going to be far happier in four Saturdays when college football is back in full swing. In an effort to pass the time we’ve already started planning a few gameday looks for the upcoming season. This year, we think it’s time to take the plunge and add a little bit of school spirit to our feet. It’s taken some time for us to get up the nerve to wear “slippers,” but with school logos firmly embedded on the front, we have a feeling the University Logo Shoes from JP Crickets will be a gameday mainstay in no time flat.
Last Spring we were finally able to track down a cologne that we had been looking for for quite some time. Nearly a year and a half later, it is still our favorite scent to date. With a name like Moonshine, and a scent based on some of our favorite things, what’s not to love? The post below originally ran on April 12, 2013.
This week our Bowtie Friday pick is inspired by one of our favorite places West of the Mississippi. A place that we spent some time years ago, and hope to revisit sooner rather than later. That place is Yosemite, and this week’s pick is the Yosemite Tree Bow from Buffalo Jackson.
It’s no secret that we are constantly on the hunt for things that have a classic appeal with a bit of a twist. Well, we found just that when we were perusing the Allen Edmonds website recently. Part of their ongoing Webgems series, we are absolutely loving the recently released Suede Sands Penny Loafers.
