Last Spring we were finally able to track down a cologne that we had been looking for for quite some time.  Nearly a year and a half later, it is still our favorite scent to date.  With a name like Moonshine, and a scent based on some of our favorite things, what’s not to love?  The post below originally ran on April 12, 2013.

As much time as we spend talking about clothes, shoes, and accessories, we’ve done our best to stay away from cologne.  Why?  Because not only is it an extremely personal choice, but also because one specific scent that we have had our eye on for a while has managed to elude us.  Well, we finally tracked down a bottle of that elusive cologne, and are now happy to report that Moonshine from EastWest Bottlers absolutely gets the Bows & Boats seal of approval.

The brainchild of three University of Georgia fraternity brothers, it should come as no surprise that Moonshine has a heavy southern influence.  No, the cologne doesn’t smell like something that should come in a mason jar, but it does pull from some of our favorite things to create a scent that we think just about any guy (and maybe more importantly, any girl) will love.  With hints of everything from gin, to leather, to black pepper, the overall Moonshine fragrance is somewhat woodsy, but 100% fresh.  Whether you need a new signature scent, or just like to change things up from time to time, we would highly recommend tracking down a bottle of Moonshine for yourself.
