Back when we were freshmen in college, had you told us we’d be running this site, and friends with so many of the people behind some of our favorite brands, we wouldn’t have believed you. We also wouldn’t have believed that a friend we made that same year would one day be hand making some absolutely fantastic belts. Introduced in the 1930’s, it’s hard for us to believe that Sperry Top-Sider‘s CVO sneakers were seeing time on the decks of sailboats prior to our trusty A/O’s, but that’s the case. While these classics are yet to make their way into our footwear rotation, a just released version of them is about to change that. Now available in Chambray, the CVOs have taken on a whole new look.

The grass is cut, the infield is prepped, and come 3:05 this afternoon baseball will officially be back in Baltimore. To say we are excited would be a bit of an understatement; we’ve been counting the days until Opening Day since last October. If you’re not having a least a little bit of fun with your wardrobe, you’re doing it wrong. With Opening Day just around the corner, we are hoping our beloved Orioles make us want to paint this town orange all season long. To make sure we can do our part, we’ve been on the hunt for some new orange items for our Spring wardrobe. One that will definitely be in the lineup (yes, we realize how terrible of a pun that is) is the Orange Mcguire from our friends at Ledbury.

We’ve been pretty outspoken about our appreciation for brands that trend toward the classic side of the prep spectrum creating lines with a more modern cuts and bolder patterns for those of us who like to mix it up a bit. Though they aren’t as old as the likes of Brooks Brothers or J. Press, Bills Khakis has become a mainstay in many a prep wardrobe over the last quarter century, and they’ve recently unveiled their take on a more contemporary collection; it’s called Tea Label.
