A couple of weeks back we got an email from Brooks Brothers introducing their Signature Tartan print, we were impressed.  Officially registered with the Scottish Tartans Authority, this isn’t just another plaid, it’s the real deal and will be around for years to come.  Of course, the revelation of the print was accompanied by an entire collection.  Our favorite item?  The Madison Fit Signature Tartan Dress Trousers.

Tartan pants are not for the faint of heart, but every once in a while you have to throw caution to the wind and go for it.  That said, we’d probably stick with a solid shirt when you break this pair out.  Featuring Brooks Brothers’ Signature Tartan print, these slacks are made from 100% wool that was woven at Johnston’s Mill in England.  With a plain front, and generous cut, the Tartan Dress Trousers come unfinished, so you’ll need to take a quick trip to your tailor before they’re ready to wear.  After that, you’ll have a pair of pants that will remain in your collection for years to come.
