Over the last couple of years, we’ve really been working to update our Fair Isle sweater collection.  A nice departure from our standard cable knits and Shaggy Dogs, we’re always up to add a pattern to a look.  This year, we’re going with something a bit more modern, the Shetlander from Bonobos.

Made from 100% lambswool, the Shetlander may feel like a classic Fair Isle sweater, but the look and fit are definitely a bit more up to date.  With plenty of room through the shoulders and chest to layer over a sport shirt, the Shetlander slims towards the waist for a look that is a bit more slim than the majority of lambswool sweaters out there.  The design itself is also more modern than what we’re used to seeing on this type of sweater.  From a distance, the look is decidedly Fair Isle, but up close you’ll see that the pattern is unlike any you’ve ever seen.  Bring on the cold!  We’re ready to layer up.
