Before we know it, we will once again be reaching for a light jacket as we are walking out the door each morning.  Though we already have a few that we know will do the job, a recent addition to the Filson lineup will absolutely be finding it’s way into our rotation this Fall.  A new take on an old favorite, we have a feeling we aren’t the only ones happy to see the Short Cruiser Jacket make its debut.

Though some may disagree, we love the fact that Filson is now offering a version of their classic Tin Cloth Cruiser jacket that is a bit more trim, and also a bit shorter, than the original.  The new “Seattle” cut may not be for everyone, but for those of us who love the look of Filson products but want something a bit leaner, it is absolutely perfect.  Made from Filson’s famed Tin Cloth, this jacket is still relatively light weight, yet it will stand up to one heck of a beating, and the proprietary oil coating will keep you dry in all but the heaviest of rains.  Even though we aren’t ready for Fall to be here just yet, we are definitely looking forward to the first morning chilly enough for us to throw on the newest Cruiser in the Filson collection.

What do you think?  Do you like the idea of a trim cut Filson jacket, or should they have stuck with the classics?
