Even though we’ve made quite the effort to work some boatshoe alternatives into our rotation this Summer, we’re going with what we know for the 4th of July.  Of course, traditional brown or tan aren’t going to cut it on Independence Day, so we’re going to go with something a bit brighter.  Our pick this year is a pair of Red, White, and Blue Burnished A/Os from Sperry Top-Sider.

Featuring the classic A/O silhouette that we all know and love, these shoes are definitely a nice twist on an old favorite.  Just like the rest of the A/O boatshoes, this version features Sperry’s Tru-Moc construction, rust proof eyelets, and a non-marking siped outsole to make sure you stay planted if the decks get a little bit wet.  With uppers made from full grain burnished leather, the red, white, and blue A/O’s look and feel a bit more worn in than regular boatshoes the first time you put them on, and we have a hunch that will also speed up the break in process a bit as well.  Currently marked down nearly 30% on the Sperry website, these A/O’s are a fantastic way to add some color to any rotation.
