Later this year, our friend Chris will be tying the knot.  While we are really looking forward to the wedding itself, another event that is shaping up to be a fantastic time is the bachelor party that is set to take place this weekend at a local ski resort.  In honor of the weekend of debauchery that is ahead, we have elected to christen the next six days “Mountain Week” here at Bows & Boats.  The week will be dedicated to the things that can’t be left behind when we head to the slopes, and what better way to start out than with the Tilithium Triclimate Jacket ($229) by The North Face?

The Tilithium Triclimate is one of our favorite snow jackets currently available on the market. Available in 6 color options that will keep you looking well dressed as you hit the slopes, despite being waterproof and fully seam sealed. the jacket is extremely breathable. It is multi-layered with a removable inner lining, so you have the option to wear either the liner, just the shell, or both.

The jacket also features an adjustable and detachable hood, handwarmer zip pockets, an internal goggle pocket, and powder skirt with an elastic gripper. Finally, one of our favorite features that is overlooked far too often in modern ski jackets is the velcro hook-and-loop adjustable cuffs to allow for you to cinch down the jacket over your ski-mittens. This may seem trivial, but when you yardsale (aka: bite it so hard that pieces of your gear go flying) and your hands and arms stay warm and dry, you’ll thank us.

Keep your eyes peeled the rest of the week for more of our favorite snow gear during the inaugural Mountain Week here at Bows & Boats.
