For quite some time we’ve been on the fence about popover shirts.  Sure, they’ve been around for ever and ever, and many consider them a piece that belongs in every man’s closet, but we’ve never been bold enough to give one a whirl.  Literally, there have been times when we’ve chickened out at the last minute and put one back on the rack.  After waffling for far too long, we’re taking the plunge into the world of popovers with the recently released Blue Seersucker Popover from Sid Mashburn.

Though many will try to dress up a popover, we tend to think it is far more suited as a casual only option, especially when made from seersucker.  Featuring a five button placket, the buttons on this shirt end just below mid chest on most guys, and the look is definitely far different than your standard sport shirt.  Made from Italian seersucker, the Mashburn popover features a modified spread collar, rounded pocket, and some fantastic 3.5mm Trocas shell buttons.  We’ll be wearing this one untucked with the sleeves rolled all summer long.
