With a picture perfect forecast this weekend, we’re heading out to the course in hopes of knocking the rust off of our golf swings.  It’s sure to be quite the spectacle, but at least we’ll be out enjoying the gorgeous weather.  As always, we’ll be doing our best to implement the “look good, feel good, play good” plan.  Lately, that has involved a Players Shirt from Criquet just about every time we head out for a round.  The post below originally ran on July 24, 2012.

At one point or another, we’ve all had that one polo that became a safety blanket of sorts.  You know the one.  It’s the one that looked good no matter where you wore it for months or even years on end.  From the golf course, to the classroom, to the boat, to the bars, it was that shirt that just never looked bad.  Of course, all that wear takes a toll, and we’ve all had to move on (or will have to move on) from that cherished shirt at some point or another.  Well, two guys down in Texas decided they were sick of the goodbyes, and they’re on a mission to create an entire line of perfect polos.  Their company is called Criquet, and we are loving their Players Shirts.

Available in eleven solid colors, and four striped options, the Players Shirt definitely has a bit of a retro feel to it, but not so much that it becomes over the top.  Made from super soft organic jersey cotton, these shirts feel like an old favorite the first time you put them on.  Whether you go solid or striped with the Players Shirt, you’ll find a single pocket on the left chest that is adorned by the “Grassy C” Criquet logo.  The solid versions get a button down flap to round out their look, while the stripes feature a solid placket for a bit of contrast.  Though it’s called the Players Shirt, this polo is one that we’ll be wearing on the course and off.
