Have you ever driven by a place time and time again, and constantly thought to yourself “Man, I should stop in there sometime”?  Well, we have two words for you: do it!  In the worst case, you’ll spend a few minutes poking around and realizing you haven’t been missing much.  Best case, you’ll find a store that is truly a hidden gem.  Luckily for us, the latter happened on Christmas Eve when we were wrapping up a few last minute errands.  Little did we know that tucked right next to one of our favorite BBQ shacks sat a treasure trove stacked floor to ceiling with the likes of Barbour, Filson, and Woolrich.  One thing that we haven’t stopped thinking about since that visit was a fantastic Wool Blazer by Filson.

We all know that Filson knocks it out of the park with their functional outerwear and bags, but until Christmas Eve we didn’t even know that there was a blazer in their lineup.  Though it is a new addition to the Filson collection, this jacket won’t be an unknown for long, it is literally one of the finest blazers we have ever laid hands on.  Available in Gray, Camel, and Navy, the Filson blazer is made from 18oz. Seattle Wool and will literally last a lifetime.  With a traditional cut you’ll have plenty of room to layer up, yet the jacket is also warm enough to keep you comfortable on days that you don’t feel like breaking out the pea coat.  Currently marked down to $354.99 (from $595) this blazer may end up being a late Christmas present to us from us.
