We’ve spent the better part of this month tracking down the “perfect gifts” for friends and family.  Well, today we’re going after something that is just for us.  Released just a few days before Christmas, the Trench Boots by Oak Street Bootmakers came out a bit too late to be added to our list, but that doesn’t mean we weren’t hoping Santa might leave a pair for us.

The first shoe to be built on Oak Street’s new Elston last, the Trench Boots are definitely a departure from the moc look we have come to expect from Oak Street, and we are loving the new direction.  Made in New York from Natural Horween® Chromexcel® leather, there are currently four iterations of the Trench Boots available.  If we had to pick a favorite, it would probably be the cap toe  with oiled leather Waterlock soles (shown).  That being said, if you’re looking for something a bit more casual, the plain toe / Vibram sole combination is the way to go.  Regardless of your pick, the Oak Street Bootmakers Trench Boots are not only a fantastic addition to the OSB lineup, they’ll be a great addition to your lineup as well.
