Last Wednesday we gave you a list of stocking stuffer ideas for the ladies in your life. This week it is a list for the boys. If you have been reading Bows & Boats for the past couple of months, you have already seen a few of our favorite stocking stuffer ideas (Skipjack Croakies by Southern Tide, Argyle Socks by Brooks Brothers, Beard Lube by Jack Black, Frat Hats from Southern Proper, Striped Koozies from Southern Point Co., etc.). In case you still need some ideas, check out the list below for a few great options that won’t break the bank.
1. Braided Cufflinks by J. McLaughlin ($18.00): In our opinion, other than black tie events, there are very few times that really warrant cufflinks. When we do wear cufflinks without a tux, we prefer the simple look of the Braided Silk Knots from J. McLaughlin. Available in four colors, these cufflinks are a great way to add a small pop of color to your standard white dress shirt.
2. Stationery: Just like we mentioned in our post for the ladies, custom stationery makes a great gift. Any gentleman knows that a hand written thank you is much more appropriate than a quick email or text.
3. Boxers by Vineyard Vines ($24.50): When we were young we heard “horror” stories about getting socks and underwear as presents. Now we welcome them! Made of 100% cotton and available in a number of different designs, boxers from Vineyard Vines are always welcomed in our stockings. (Mom, if you are reading this, go for the Burgee Flags)
4. Monogrammed Forged Steak Brand by Williams-Sonoma ($39.95): Available in single, double, and triple letter options, this brand is the perfect way to thank the “Grill Master” of the group for manning the grill at every tailgate party this season.
5. Leather Tie-Stripe Card Case by Ralph Lauren ($34.99): There is nothing worse than handing someone a business card with edges that have been bent out of shape in your pocket. This card case is simple solution to an age old problem. Made of calfskin, and lined with a classic striped tie pattern, this is great choice for anyone trying to climb the corporate ladder.
