When it comes to fashion advice, the first piece we give to anyone who asks is that you have to wear things that you like and are comfortable in.  No matter how great others may say something is, if you aren’t comfortable wearing it, you won’t like the look.  Well, we have a feeling that today’s pick is going to be loved by some, but not so much by others.  Either way, we love it.  While most of their line consists of more traditional pieces, we couldn’t help but grin the first time we laid eyes on the Oxford with Madras Sport Shirt ($79.50) by Brooks Brothers.

Until now, every item in our wardrobe with elbow patches was only worn in the cold weather months.  Now, thanks to Brooks Brothers, we’ll be rocking the patches all year long.  Based on the classic slim fit (or extra slim fit) Brooks Brothers Oxford, this sport shirt is available in white or blue.  By far, our favorite of the two is the blue.  With a gold Brooks Brothers logo on the chest, and a pastel madras print on the elbows and lining the collar, this shirt is a great choice for Spring and Summer alike.  In fact, if your Easter plans call for something a little more low key than a seersucker suit, the Oxford with Madras Sport Shirt may just be the perfect choice.
