Bean’s Century of Outfitting America by Jim Gorman is a must read for anyone who has ever laced up a pair of Bean Boots.

Written to commemorate L.L. Bean’s 100th anniversary, Guaranteed to Last takes readers on a journey that spans from 1912 when L.L. Bean himself created his first product, the Maine Hunting Shoe, to present day.  Not only does the book tell the story of L.L. Bean, it features countless interesting tidbits about products, employees, and virtually everything else that can be connected to the brand.  Even if you aren’t much of a reader, you could spend a day pouring over the vintage product shots and catalog covers from years past.
