Colwood by Penfield

On January 3, 2012, in Jackets, Mens, Outerwear, by Ryan & Ben

Okay, no more complaints from us about winter not showing up.  Apparently, we are going to be lucky if the temperatures get above freezing today, and on top of that heavy winds are supposed to be in the area for most of the day.  Needless to say, we’re going to be piling on the layers every time we have to set foot outside.  One layer that we wish we would have gone ahead and ordered when it went on sale last week is the Colwood ($124-131.75) from Penfield.

Though it isn’t heavy enough to handle arctic temperatures on its own, the Colwood is a great outer layer for a chilly day, or mid layer for a day like we are having today.  Available in black, olive, and navy, this jacket features a quilted pattern that we absolutely love, and antique pewter snaps that are the perfect compliment to the overall classic look of this jacket.  Wind-resistant, and adjustable at the waist for a bit of extra insulation, the Colwood may just end up being our jacket of choice for those days when we aren’t worried about frostbite setting in.
