As much as we love summer fabrics like madras and seersucker, they both take a back seat to a fabric that has recently been unpacked in preparation for chilly temperatures, tweed. In our opinion, there is not much better than a tweed jacket paired with a freshly pressed button down and a classic repp stripe tie. While it isn’t quite cold enough to break out the tweed jacket yet, we are getting our fix of this classic combo via the recently released Peyton Heritage Belts ($112) by Kiel James Patrick.
Featuring unique combinations of English repp stripe silk and Scottish woven herringbones and tartans, each piece of the Peyton Heritage line has a personality unto itself making it nearly impossible to choose a favorite (New England Scotsman is shown). Of course, each belt is handmade in Rhode Island, and touts a full grain tumbled leather tab paired with solid brass hardware. We have always been impressed with how KJP is able to create items that we have never seen before, yet look like they could fit seamlessly into a wardrobe of years past, and this line of belts certainly keeps that tradition alive.
