When it comes to weekends, we normally end up in shorts and polos. This past weekend was no different, except this time we got to check out a pair of shorts from an up and coming brand based outside of Atlanta, Jack Donnelly. We’ve been on the hunt for a solid pair of khaki shorts for quite some time and it seems like our search is finally over with their Dalton Short ($68).
The Dalton Short is available in two colors (Khaki and Stone) and two styles (Pleated and Flat Front) for a total of 4 options. While that might seem like a narrow selection, why mess with perfection? The Dalton inseam is 7.5 inches, and, with a medium rise, they fall just on, or above, the knee. With an attention to detail that will rival anyone in the business, the team at Jack Donnelly decided that 8.5 oz, 100% combed, cotton twill was the perfect choice for their signature short, and they were right. With a weight isn’t too heavy for the hottest of days, and isn’t so light that you have to worry about them falling apart, the Dalton is an all-around great pair of shorts. In the past, we would have told you that there is no such thing as having too many pairs of khaki shorts, but, honestly, all you really need is a pair of Daltons in both colors, and you will be all set.
