Golf Course Necessities

On April 9, 2011, in Accessories, Hats, Mens, Womens, by Ryan & Ben

What would Masters week be without a true “gear post”? Sure, we have touched on a couple of on course pieces this week, but what better day than Masters Saturday to tell you about a few things that always tend to find their way out on the course with us when we hit the links.

Sports Mesh Hat by Titelist ($26):  Yes, we admit it, we are both Titleist loyalists, and almost every time we play at least one of us sports a Titleist Sports Mesh Hat.  What can we say, the hat is extremely comfortable, and comes in a wide variety of colors.  Of all of the “brand” hats out there, it is far and away our favorite.

Personalized golf balls (Prices vary): Anyone can mark their ball with a Sharpie, but, with a little bit of planning, you can make sure nobody tries to say that the ball a few yards closer to the pin is theirs.  For a nominal fee (normally about $5 a dozen), you can get up to three words printed on your favorite type of ball.  In our opinion, a simple block monogram is the way to go.

Socks by Kentwool ($19.95):  These American made socks have taken the Tour by storm in the last year or so.  Made of a blend that keeps your feet feeling fresh and also extremely cushioned, we recommend the low or tour profile models.  Available in natural, black, and pink (for those of you looking to add some extra color to the tee box), these socks are absolutely worth the premium price.

Koozie (Prices vary):  Whether you are cracking a cold one before you tee it up, or waiting until the scorecards are signed, a koozie is a must have when heading to the golf course.  Currently, we are rotating between our favorites from Coast Apparel and Vineyard Vines.

Headcovers by Ame & Lulu ($79): Ladies, did you really think we would leave you out of all of our Masters week coverage?  While these headcovers haven’t found their way into our bags, our wives sure do love them.  Sold in sets of three, and available in eight eye catching designs, these headcovers are sure to turn a few heads at your favorite course.
