As golfers, we see some strange clothing choices on the course from time to time.  For example, when teeing it up at our local course last season we were surprised to see a group ahead of us decked out in “old school” golf attire.  When we say “old school”, we aren’t talking about the big collars and plaid pants of the 70’s, we are talking back to the days of drivers caps, short pants, and lots and lots of argyle.  In small doses, argyle can be a welcomed addition to any wardrobe.  In large quantities, not so much.  The St. Andrews Argyle V-Neck ($149) by Brooks Brothers is one of those pieces that adds just the right amount of argyle to any ensemble.

Though the St. Andrews Argyle V-Neck comes from a collection named after another “bucket list” golf course, this sweater definitely brings thoughts of Augusta National to golf fans.  On a deep navy base, the colors that we all equate with The Masters pop from the sweater in a traditional argyle print.  Made of a silk and cotton blend, this sweater has a great feel and a weight perfect for those spring days that still have a bit of chill in the air.  While some may choose to wear this sweater in dressier situations, we think it looks best pulled over a crisp white oxford and paired with a basic pair of jeans.
