When we were young, we were definitely guilty of buying Dad a cheesy golf tie for Father’s day.  He wore a tie every day and liked golf, how was it not a great gift?  Looking back, it isn’t hard to see why he didn’t want to wear a tie that featured a nearly full size golf bag to work the next Monday.  Luckily, the world of golf ties has come a long way over the years.  Proving that you can still have a little fun with golf themed neckwear and look good doing it is the Two Under Par Tie ($75) from Bird Dog Bay.

Unless you have won the Masters, there is no reason to wear a green blazer.  Luckily, that rule doesn’t apply to ties.  The Two Under Par Tie is available in Masters Green (shown, of course) as well as blue, gold, olive, purple, and red.  Featuring a Bald Eagle that has acquired the bag of an unlucky golfer, this tie is sure to be a conversation starter.  Luckily, the conversation isn’t going to start with “are you really wearing that?”.  As with all of Bird Dog Bay’s ties, the Two Under Par is made of the highest quality printed silk.  The only golfer we know of on Tour that wears a tie during rounds is Ryan Moore (really, Google it), and he tends to stay away from designs like this one.  If you are really looking to dress up for a round, this tie is the perfect choice.  That being said, we think it is far better suited for dinner in the clubhouse.
