Last week we talked about how Opening Day was an unofficial holiday at Bows & Boats. While we were excited to see baseball season start, that excitement pales in comparison to the excitement of this weeks events. Yes ladies and gentleman, it is Masters week. Since we weren’t lucky enough to score practice round tickets, and we are still working on a connection for grounds passes to the actual tournament, we are going to have to live the week vicariously through the wonders of HDTV. In honor of the tournament, we are going to take the next 6 days to talk about some of our favorite golf gear from a number of our favorite companies. First up, the Skipjack Golf Visor ($22) by Southern Tide.
Visors aren’t seen as much on the course as they were in decades past, but that doesn’t mean you can’t rock one from time to time. While there a number of visor options when it comes to traditional golf brands, finding one that doesn’t advertise your driver is a bit harder to find. Luckily, Southern Tide has stepped up to the tee box with their Skipjack Visor. Available in three colors (navy, white, and red) the visor features the signature Southern Tide Skipjack embroidered front and center, and just in case someone in your group isn’t sure what it represents, “Southern Tide” is embroidered down the side. Made of 100% cotton and featuring a pre-curved bill, the adjustable visor is a great alternative to your typical on course headwear. Who knows, maybe the visor will help you channel your inner Bubba Watson and lead to a few extra yards on your drive.
