As much as we’d like to say that every piece of clothing we own is the perfect blend of form and function, that’s far from the case.  There are some pieces that fit the bill, but, for the most part, we have to pick one or the other more times than not.  Well, unless we’re talking about something from Mizzen + Main.  Those guys have form and function down to a science.  Just take a look at their recently released Hawthorne shirt.

From a distance, Hawthorne is a great looking red gingham shirt.  Up close, it’s the same.  When you put it on you realize it isn’t your typical dress shirt.  With a tight red gingham print, the Hawthorne is made from Mizzen + Main’s Mark IV fabric that not only looks great, but performs like something you’d wear to the gym.  That means it’ll keep you wrinkle free all day long, it also means that you can take it out of the washer, hang it up for about fifteen minutes, and you’ll be good to go.  A great looking dress shirt that doesn’t require ironing?  If that isn’t form and function, we don’t know what is.
