Almost one year ago to the day we featured the Runwell from Shinola, a brand that was doing their best to play a part in the revitalization of Detroit.  Well, here we are a year later than they have absolutely made their mark on the Motor City.  They’ve also expanded their lineup of fantastic timepieces to include a Runwell Chrono that we’ve found ourselves gawking over pretty frequently as of late.

Currently, the Runwell Chrono is available with either a 41mm or 47mm case, and a handful of different dial color combinations.  For us, we’re torn between the green with a stainless steel bracelet, or blue with a leather strap (shown).  Whichever watch you choose, you’ll end up with a timepiece that was hand assembled right here in the USA, and is built to last for generations. Not only is Shinola turning out some great products, they are truly making a difference in the lives of their employees and in Detroit as a whole.  Though we’re East Coast guys through and through, we have the utmost respect for a company who chose to make the Detroit their home at a time when others were leaving as quickly as they could.
