Our love for all things nautical is pretty well documented.  From anchors, to signal flags, to the occasional captain’s hat, we love it all.   This week’s Bowtie Friday pick is definitely one we’ll be breaking out once boats are back in the water.  From the shores of Lake Michigan comes the Classic Burgee Bow by Bird Dog Bay.

In a market full of printed ties, Bird Dog Bay sets themselves apart time and time again.  Each design is hand drawn by founder Steve Mayer, and transferred to some of the finest printed silk you’ll ever find.  Currently available in navy and violet, and featuring a selection of burgees that look just as great on the tie as they would the front of a gleaming Hinckley, this bow is one we are really looking forward to adding to the collection.
