While the traditionalists may still be fighting it, we’re really liking the direction of the Brooks Brothers Red Fleece line over the past few seasons.  Yes, there are still a few pieces that are a bit over the top, but for the most part it seems the line has settled in nicely to a collection of classics with modern cuts.  One of our favorite pieces in the current lineup is the Cable Toggle Button Cardigan.

A heavy cardigan can be invaluable this time of year.  In place of a jacket, or as a mid-layer when temperatures really dip, we’re a big fan of the look.  In this case, Brooks Brothers has gone with a classic chunky cable knit pattern paired with ribbed shoulders, collar, and cuffs.  Finished off with toggle buttons and a couple of ribbed patch pockets, this sweater will look great weather you pair it with your favorite pair of jeans, or over a pressed oxford and a classic repp stripe tie.
