Whether you love it or hate it, you have to admit that the Maryland state flag is one of the most unique in the country.  Of course, we absolutely love it, and are proud to sport it whenever we can.  Not only will you find us wearing the state pattern from time to time, you’ll also find it in our homes in the form of a print from our friends at Old Try.  Recently, we identified a version of the flag that we can’t wait to get our hands on.  It’s from an artist named Chris Knight, and we’ve become semi-obsessed with his incredible distressed wood flags.

Currently available for a variety of states, Knight’s distressed wood flags are truly pieces of art.  The 3D aspect he uses is different than anything we’ve ever seen, and leads to a finished product that is sure to be the focal point of any room.  Even if your favorite flag is not currently available in Knight’s Etsy store, drop him a note,  we hear he can custom make just about anything (take a look at this sign recreation, for example).  It’s rare to find something that will look just as great in a man cave as it will in the family room.  Depending on your design style, we think these pieces would work quite well in either place.
