For both of us, the first bowtie we ever tied on was a repp stripe.  After a quick poll of friends, it seems that we are far from the only ones who started this way. Though our horizons have broadened significantly over the years, you’ll still find us sporting repp stripes regularly.  Today’s pick is a bit of a twist on a traditional repp stripe bow, it’s the Davie Stripes Quad Bow by R. Hanauer.

Made in the USA from imported silk, the Davie Stripe Quad features four unique repp stripe patterns, for a multitude of tying options.  You’ll never be able to make it look like a classic repp stripe bow, but that’s the point.  For those days when you want a little bit of a twist on a classic, this tie is a perfect pick.
