It’s fun to play the ‘what if’ game time to time, and this year we figured it’d be interesting to see what we could come up with for a gift guide with absolutely no budget. This is by far the most expensive guide we’ve ever put out, and it’ll probably hold that title for quite some time. Regardless, here’s what we’d be handing out this year if money was no object.

To say our pal Cooper down at Social Primer has a unique sense of style would be quite the understatement. His pairings are unique, his colors are bold, and every look is simply sharp as a tack. Of course, many of his looks are finished off with a great looking Social Primer bowtie. This time of year, we’re betting he’s getting plenty of wear out of their recently released Gingerbread Man and Red Tartan bow.

A few weeks back, the fine folks at Grayers reached out to thank us for a couple of features we’d run on their wares. Not only were we thankful for the kind words, we were also happy that we’d made a connection at a brand we’d had our eye on for quite some time. Grayers has grown by leaps and bounds over recently, and if they continue to release items like their Donegal Sweater, we have a feeling they are going to be around for the long haul.

Sometimes you just have to be the guy in a red shirt at the Christmas party. We tend to stick with a red gingham in these situations, but it looks like there will soon be another bold red shirt in our rotation. From Sid Mashburn comes the Tomato Heather Flannel.

On our last visit to our favorite barbershop, The QG, we finally got a chance to check out there recently completed men’s store. We’d heard that Tretorn would be included in the QG collection, and we were excited to see what else beyond staple Nylites they would have in stock. The shoe that we left most impressed with was definitely the Gärde Stövel Vinter GTX.

A well stocked bar is something we think everyone should have. For us, that means not only quality liquor, but also quality mixers, accoutrements, etc. One thing that has become a staple on our bar is Jack Rudy tonic, and it will soon be joined by a few more Jack Rudy products thanks to their Jack Pack.

If there’s one thing we love more than a great looking bowtie, it’s a great looking bowtie with a great story to go along with it. We had a feeling that’s just what we’d get when we reached out to our friend Bryan down at Over Under to get the scoop on a new addition to their collection, The Setter Plantation Bow. We definitely weren’t disappointed.

The “rules” say that you aren’t supposed to wear white after Labor Day. Well, we’ve always been ones to skirt said rules from time to time, but this year we are throwing it all to the wind and simply going for it. It’s been decided, the next addition to our collection of cords is going to be the Stone Bedford option from Bonobos.
