You can’t help but love a great looking logo, and our friends over at Country Club Prep have one that is definitely high on our list. Known as Longshanks, their madras fox logo has been popping up on everything from koozies to sunglasses to tee shirts over the past few months, but we sure are glad things didn’t stop there. The guys over at Country Club Prep really took things to the next level with their latest addition, the Longshanks needlepoint hat.
There are a few things that we find ourselves drawn to again and again. Among them are bowties (big surprise), repp stripes, and just about everything with a red, white, and blue color scheme. If all of those things happen to come together in one item, there is a near 100% chance we’re going to want one. That is definitely the case with the BB#2 Stripe and Twin Stripe Reversible Bow by Social Primer for Brooks Brothers.
There’s something about a classic rugby shirt that we absolute love this time of year. Whether you stick with something simple and solid, or a bolder stripe pattern, a rugby is never a bad pick for a casual Fall look, and we’re always on the hunt for another to add to our rotation. Recently, we came across a rugby that is different than any in our collection, it’s the Knitted Rugger by Gant Rugger.
As much as we love boatshoes, our shoe collection truly runs the gamut. Lately, we’ve found ourselves wondering how we can expand our loafer collection. With literally thousands of options on the market, our choices are virtually endless, but we seem to keep going back to one pair again and again. Definitely different than anything in our current rotation, the Barnes Vintage Penny Loafers by Martin Dingman are high on our list of possible additions.
With sweaters and blazers seeing more and more wear over the last couple of weeks, we’ve decided that it’s time that we add a bit more tweed to our lineup. There are a number of fantastic off the rack options out there right now, but for our next tweed addition we’re turning to our friends at Indochino. Their Bruno Brown Tweed Blazer is just what we’ve been looking for.
Having a great pair of corduroy pants is a must this time of year. We wear them for just about anything, and in our opinion the right pair can take the place of chinos and jeans with ease. If you feel the same way, there should probably be a pair of Manchester Cords by Bonobos in your future.
We’re slowly but surely building our collection of needlepoint belts. As much as we love the more lively designs that are available, there is something to be said about a more subdued approach from time to time. The feature below originally ran on February 28, 2011.
Whether it is an intricate pattern, or something more simple, we seem to work far more plaid into our wardrobe between October and January than any other time of the year. Of course, bowties are a great way to work a little bit of plaid into a look, and with choices that look as great as the Quad Bow from Collared Greens, why wouldn’t you want to add some plaid?
We’re always on the hunt for our next great pair of khaki pants. We know they’ll never be out of style, and if we pick the right pair we’ll be able to wear them with literally everything. Well, yesterday we found the next pair that will be added to our ever growing collection of chinos, the Slim Fit Dalton Pants from Jack Donnelly.
Around here, they say that you can judge how rough a winter is going to be by how many acorns fall, and how early. If that holds true, we are in for all sorts of nasty weather in the coming months. Luckily, Mother Nature is giving us the heads up now, and we are definitely heeding her warning. High on our list of things we need to pick up before things get bad is the recently re-released Maine Hunting Shoe Lounger by L.L. Bean Signature.
