As we slowly, and begrudgingly, begin to transition our boatshoes out of heavy rotation for the season, classic penny loafers seem to be taking their place more times than not.  We’ve been on the hunt for a new pair that can pull double duty at the office and out on the town, and it looks like we may have just gotten lucky.  Turns out the Beaumont Penny Loafer by Sid Mashburn was recently restocked.

We’ve come across this great looking loafer many times in our travels, but, until now, our sizes have never been in stock.  Made from a supple brown Beaumont leather, these shoes are hand-sewn in Maine and we have a feeling they’ll work just as well with slacks as they will with denim.  Featuring a higher vamp for a look that it is a bit more modern than a classic American loafer, the Beaumonts are fully leather lined, and feature a double leather sole with a combination heel.  If you are as big of a fan of these as we are, we’d recommend getting your order in ASAP, who knows how long they’ll stay in stock this time around.
