With Fall officially upon us, it is only a matter of time until sweaters of all varieties will be out in full force.  We’re big fans of layering a light sweater over just about anything this time of year, but, truth be told, we prefer the days that call for something just a bit heavier.  For those days, the Matinicus Rock Sweater from LL  Bean Signature will definitely be seeing some use.

Based on a popular Bean sweater from 1980, the Matinicus Rock Sweater has a classic appeal that we absolutely love.  Made from heavy Shetland wool, the sweater is currently available in oatmeal, and timber marl (shown), and though we aren’t huge fans of the birds-eye pattern when the sweater is on the shelf, it looks absolutely fantastic on.  Now all we need is a cold enough day to break this one out over a pair of cords and a plaid sport shirt.
