We all have more polo shirts in our closet than we can count, but have you ever been on the hunt for a polo that fits well, looks good, and is as soft as your favorite t-shirt?  Sure, there are a few options that come close, and may fit two of the three categories we listed, but until a few weeks ago we were not able to find anything that was exactly what we were looking for.  Luckily, we were turned on to a company based out of California called johnnie-O.  Their 4-Button Polo ($55) meets all three criteria and is quickly working it’s way into our regular rotation for work and play.

Founded by a former college golfer, johnnie-O originally marketed their 4-Button as a golf polo.  While it will certainly get a ton of wear on the course when the weather warms up, this shirt is a fantastic option for nearly any activity.  The 100% jersey cotton is extremely soft from the first wear, and since everything is pre-shrunk you don’t have to worry about your large becoming an extra medium the first time it gets washed.  Featuring the johnnie-O logo, a surfer with his longboard, on the chest pocket, and a cut that is not too slim, but far from billowing, the 4-Button adds a bit of a West Coast spin to one of our favorite silhouettes.  Available in 13 colors, all with contrasting logos, there are sure to be a few that will fill some gaps in your wardrobe.
