Though we are still far from giving up our boatshoes, we’re continuing our efforts to expand our footwear collection this Spring and Summer, and luckily for us there are some really fantastic options out there this year.  One shoe that recently caught our attention comes from one of our favorite boatshoe makers.  It’s the Made In Maine A/O Penny Loafer from Sperry Top-Sider.

Hand stitched in Maine from leather sourced in the US, these A/O Penny Loafers are definitely a cut above the others in the Sperry line.  Available in natural brown, or a deep navy, the loafers feature a classic beefroll upper paired with a sole that is normally reserved for boatshoes.  The result is a casual pair of loafers that fit in perfectly whether you’re standing on a gleaming white deck, or simply enjoying the view from your favorite waterside haunt.  Featuring Sperry’s Tru-Moc construction, contrast stitching, and a premium leather footbed and EVA heel cup for added comfort, these loafers will definitely be a go to option for us over the next few months.
