The weatherman tells us that our weekend is going to be filled with chilly temperatures and occasional precipitation.  With a to do list that’s going to have us running around a bit, having a jacket to keep us warm and dry is a must, so we’ll be turning back to the Nano Puff Jacket from Patagonia.  The post below originally ran on February 2, 2011.

With the weather the way it is across most of the country right now, leaving the house without bundling up just isn’t an option.  Even if you aren’t planning on being out for more than a few minutes, some quality cold weather gear is an absolute must. While layers are a great way to avoid huge coats, sometimes it is nearly impossible to not end up looking like the Michelin Man.  Luckily, in recent years, a number of companies have introduced materials that are able to keep you warm without all of the extra filling.  One such option is the Men’s Nano Puff Jacket by Patagonia.

With a water repellent, 100% recycled, polyester outer shell, and a very warm, yet lightweight, 60g Primaloft polyester lining, the Nano Puff is a sleek option for your time out in the elements.  By using some innovative materials, Patagonia has managed to create a jacket that keeps you as warm as much heavier options with far less bulk.  Available in five colors, the Nano Puff is a fantastic choice for days that you might find yourself out in the cold for a few hours, or just running errands on campus or around town.
