After a Ravens Super Bowl win on Sunday, and a huge celebration on Tuesday, the state of Maryland is still in a bit of a purple haze. Though we still prefer college sports to the pros, we’ve definitely found ourselves caught in the moment and have managed to work in a little purple to our look a few times this week. That being said, we thought it’d be fitting to cap off the week with a purple bowtie giveaway. Thanks to our friends at Dogwood Black, someone is going to be the winner of their great looking Plum Bow Tie.
Made from some of the finest shirting fabric in the world (Thomas Mason), the Plum Bow Tie is definitely lighter than your typical silk bow, but will work all year round when paired correctly. Of course, we’re huge fans of the gingham pattern, and the plum is a great color for Fall and Winter. If you want to add this great looking bowtie to your rotation, follow the steps below. We’ll be taking entries until 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, February 15.

Work is the obvious answer to “where would you wear this?”, but also for me: My anniversary dinner in March. The bridesmaids had dresses very close to this purple. Would be a nice homage. Good stuff, guys!

This bow is awesome. I think it could be worn just about anywhere.
The plum color looks really close to Harvard crimson, so I would love to give this bowtie to my husband (a Yale man) so that he would have SOMETHING acceptable to wear to reunions and other events at my alma mater.
I’d wear this to work, and on dates with my wife.
Definitely to work, but also anywhere and everywhere, Easter weekend in particular!
