Whether you keep one hanging on the back of your office door in case of a last minute meeting with the boss, or just next to your door at home in case you decide you need to dress things up a bit on your way out, having a versatile blazer at the ready is never a bad idea.  Of course, you can never go wrong with a standard navy blazer, but you can’t be scared to change things up from time to time.  If you’re looking to expand your blazer collection, a classic herringbone will always be a good look.  One of our favorites is the Piedmont from Bonobos.

Made from 100% Italian wool, the Piedmont is truly a three season jacket.  It’s not quite as thick as most wool blazers, but you’ll be able to wear this jacket comfortably from the beginning of Fall all the way through the Spring with ease.  With a trim cut, Bonobos suggests ordering a size up if you plan on layering the Piedmont over heavy sweaters, but we’d suggest sticking with your normal size for the most part.  Yes, we love the look of a wool blazer over a heavy sweater, but we’re playing the odds and betting that you’ll probably be wearing the Piedmont over sport shirts and thin sweaters far more often than something thick.  Featuring a classic khaki herringbone, the Piedmont is one of those blazers that you’ll find yourself throwing on over just about everything, and loving it each and every time.
