Though we don’t talk about grooming too ofter here at Bowties & Boatshoes, we are firm believers in the fact that taking care of yourself is the first step to a great overall look.  No, we aren’t the type of guys who take 2 hours to get ready by any means, but we do have a few tools that we turn to to make sure everything is in order prior to heading out.  Keep reading to learn a bit more about some of our favorite “tools of the trade.”

Bodygroom Pro by Philips Norelco ($69.99):  Between boat days and beach trips, keeping things trimmed up is essential this time of year, and this groomer has been a welcomed addition to our lineup.  Weather you just need to do a bit of trimming, or need a full shave, the Bodygroom Pro is a solid pick.  A big thanks to Philips Norelco for sending one our way to check out.

Nailclippers by Ace ($8): Made from stainless steel, and featuring a crosshatch design on the lever for extra grip, these “man sized” clippers are a must in any dopp kit.

The Executive by Dollar Shave Club ($9/month): If you aren’t a huge fan of an electric razor, Dollar Shave Club is absolutely the way to go.  They have three options, but we’d recommend going with The Executive.  For only $9/month, you’ll get three 6 blade cartridges delivered to your door.

Pocket Comb by Baxter of California ($16):  Every man needs a comb, why not have one that comes from a brand known for having some of the best hair products on the market.  At 5.25″, it’s the perfect size, and we’re suckers for the tortoise look.
