It’s been almost a year to the day since we first profiled Warby Parker, and boy have they grown since then.  With a well rounded line that is always evolving, this relative new kid on the block is still shaking up the eyewear industry with frames that are new on the market, but have quite the classic appeal.  We still wear our Thatchers regularly, and they seem to get a compliment or two each time we put them on.  The post below originally ran on July 30, 2011.

Last night was a late one, and unfortunately today isn’t one of those Saturdays that we can just bum around and recover.  That being said, we have pulled ourselves together and are ready to face the day.  Other than a couple of bottles of water, and a few Advil, the one thing that is going to be most important today is a solid pair of sunglasses.  Recently, Warby Parker, a company making a name for themselves in the prescription frame business, started offering sunglasses.  One of their frames that made the transition flawlessly is the Thatcher($95).

The Thatcher is one of those frames that has a timeless appeal.  With a design inspired by Buddy Holly, the frames look great with prescription lenses, and even better with polarized tinted lenses.  Featuring the signature Warby Parker plaques for an added bit of style, these extremely well priced sunglasses are new to the market, but we think they are going to be a mainstay for years to come.
