Though runway season has come and gone, we still can’t help but laugh at some of the things we saw.  Seriously, what are some of these designers thinking?  Of course, there are some gems that are ready to hit the streets right away, and most of the pieces that caught our eye this year literally hit the street. Straight from the runway, the aptly named Midnight Runway Penny Loafers by Tommy Hilfiger ($248) are definitely something we would love to have in our lineup.

Made in Italy of 100% brushed leather, the Runway Loafers take the classic Hilfiger loafer and add some touches that are polarizing to say the least.  We absolutely love them, and have a feeling you will too.  First, the rich Navy color, it’s definitely not the norm for loafers, but it’s far from being too “out there” for regular wear.  Second, the hit of orange on the sole, as well as the heel.  Again, the bright color is definitely different, but not too over done that make these shoes a pair that you only wear once every few months.  Lastly, the detailing.  The perforations around the top, and the extra detail on the tongue, create a unique look on a silhouette that has been around for ages.  Though it is certainly a departure from a classic loafer, we think you could wear the Midnight Runway Loafer in just as many ways.
