We’re huge fans of a simple sweater over everything from tees, to polos, to button downs.  Of course, that means we are always on the hunt for new additions to our lineup, and on a recent shopping excursion we came across a sweater that fills the void between sweatshirt and casual sweater absolutely perfectly.  Available online and in J.Crew Factory locations, the Space-Dyed Cotton Crewneck Sweater ($56.50) is going to be seeing some serious wear from us.

It seems like J. Crew Factory has really come into it’s own in recent years.  Yes, there are a ton of pieces that are extremely similar to those at the mothership, but also plenty that stand on their own as Factory exclusives.  The Space-Dyed Cotton Crewneck sweater is one of those exclusives that we were glad to have stumbled upon.  The “space-dyed” look is similar to the heathered look of many of our favorite sweatshirts, and is created by using yarn that is multicolored, but still part of the same reel (marled red is shown).  The look is unlike any we have seen on a simple cotton sweater, and though it is a bit different, it creates a great casual, but not too casual, look.  Over just about everything, we think this sweater is going to be a great pick for the next few months.
