We rarely participate in “casual Friday” at the office, and when we do our casual still tends to be a bit more polished than most.  If you are in the same boat, today’s Bowtie Friday pick will probably be right up your alley.  Definitely a more casual option, the Fitzgerald Wool Bowtie ($68) from Ernest Alexander makes a great pick for a casual day at work or play.

Made primarily of British brown plaid wool, this bat cut bow features just a hint of navy and green striped silk tipping for some contrast.  While we probably wouldn’t be huge fans if this were a fully reversible bow, we love the idea of just the small hit of silk against the relatively subtle brown plaid, it adds just the right amount of pop to bring this tie alive.  Handcrafted in the USA, the Fitzgerald is a bow that will compliment just about any Fall/Winter wardrobe nicely.  Paired with a tweed blazer, or under a v-neck sweater you can’t go wrong.
